Abstract:

This layer contains polygons based on points of diversion and irrigated acreage from DNRC water rights records. Points were derived by DNRC from the township/range/section field in the state water rights database, then converted to rectangular polygons based on the stated irrigated acreage. Many of the polygons overlap.

These data have been removed from the State Library web site because they are obsolete and better recent data may be available. These data are still available on request from the State Library data archive.
